ACTIVATE is organizing an antiwar march on Saturday, March 17. The march will meet at 12:30pm at the corner of East Beltline and Burton.
We’re encouraging everyone to come out to show Grand Rapids’ opposition to the war at one of the busiest intersections in the city. Please bring signs, banners, costumes, drums, and whatever else you think will help make our message that the United States must end its occupation of Iraq loud and clear. This will be the big antiwar march in Grand Rapids commemorating the fourth anniversary of the war.
We have been doing everything that we can to advertise for the march–posting flyers in the community and on college campuses, making postings on relevant websites, doing media work, and contacting other groups, but we still need help. Please tell your friends about the march, make a posting on your blog/myspace/facebook/whatever site, or post flyers around town.
